Our Destiny???

Gone are the days when ten rupees is good enough to have a decent food outside.Today, Money is gradually losing its value.Economists cite it as an Inflationary trend. Thanks God, for it's far better than countries like Zimbabwe.

"India is Shining" and this feel good factor is certainly there.Asian Market is emerging with China and India as engines of growth. Some believe, this economic growth will downfilter and reach the lower strata of the society.

We are witnessing a huge transformation towards market economy. Is this fortunate or unfortunate is yet to undergo a litmus test. The new global strategy of liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation is yet to prove its vantage.

There is an opportunity cum challenge in this new strategy.Prosperity or poverty became a matter of probability.Middle class section who formed a majority in the past are forced in some way to the extremes.

The Status of agriculture and its associated sector leaves me poignant.Howsoever efforts our government makes in lifting this sector remains inadequate. The continuation of farmers suicide in many parts of our country, along with the side by side prevailing rising corporate world  is a rare combination.

My only apprehension is that this economic growth should be all inclusive. The benefits of this growth should be reaped by everyone.Gradual growth along with distributive justice is preferable than fast growth unaccompanied by socio economic development. The divides that are existing should sway away to pave way for a seamless world.Or else, whatever economic growth reached so far will got infested by violence caused by social divide.

Darwin's theory, "Only fittest of the fit will survive" is more relevant even today.

Women

Women-They complement Men in Life.

God created Men and Women, each with special strength and weakness.

Men are physically strong and  are abled navigators. They are good at research and execution of massive projects .They are  logical, aggressive, outward bound, moved more by externalities.........

Women are mentally strong. They are creative and good at doing multiple tasks at a time, artistic, social, flexible, sensitive, emotional, inward bound and moved more by mind...........

Nothing is good or bad. They exhibit different qualities, that are complementary and make life perfect to live with.

Unfortunately, history  of mankind witnessed a gradual evolution of a mishap, wherein this balance was struck down. That's so gradual that the society couldn't appreciate how this balance need to be.

It is horrible to be a silent spectator of women being demeaned in the society.A very few exceptions are there, but cannot be considered as a counter to general case.

I wish every woman to be proud of the way she is.Her environment shouldn't deter her anyway in evolving to her fullest potential. She should uphold herself, with her individual identity, without destroying the fabric of society. Also I wish the next generation to be gender sensitive. They should recognize that a woman too has a mind,wishlist,ambition/freedom ...just like their male counterpart. They should not be denied their space.

Men or Women, both are human. The difference is only biological.

They have to be independant in their own zone.At the same time, there is a need for interdependence to spice up life.

Best Present(Gift)

One would wonder and question my Title.I relished a book and wish to share the gist of it to my i-land friends.I combine my experience too with it.

Its the essence of living. What could be a present worth giving by a person to himself?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If suppose, I  credit your account with unlimited money with a condition that you should debit it the same moment, then it is left to you to decide its spending.

Similar is the treasure called TIME.

The best way to live is "to be in the present always".

Most of us miss this and get caught in a trap.We often cherish  happier  moments of our past/get involved in self pity for our past sufferings.  Or else, we live in dreams &  aspirations; We neglect the present in order to achieve something in future. Our aspirations are at the cost of present moment.Very rare, we enjoy the present moment. This remains a rootcause for all our troubles.

To cite an example, be it Tea time/chat with a friend/work place/loss of dear ones/ gala time...., if we live that moment without thinking of past/future(of varying timescale ranging from microseconds to years), then our efficiency increases and sustains. To explain it further, if suppose we get a chance to meet  and speak with a person  for a while, its a limited time. However, the fullest utility of time can be made in reaching the person, provided we speak from the heart to him with no other thoughts in mind.

Be it happy / sad present, it has to be fully lived and get saturated.only then, it allows us to live oncoming present.

Very easy to suggest this "present", but in reality , very hard to practise.Even then,an attempt to dare this experience is exhilarating.Do you?

Do we need a role model?

Quite often, we are moved by personalities from different walks of life.We admire them;Sometimes, we adore them. That's good. When it comes to assuming someone as rolemodel in entirety,I feel, we need to rethink.

Certain events that happened in the recent past made me to share this blog.

There is a difference, when one takes a model as an inspiration. It will help oneself to get motivated and to excel in his/her area of interest. On the contrary, when one tries to repeat/replicate/mimic the model, it destroys originality/creativity.Moreover, there cannot be a perfect  deserving model ,if zoomed in.

Personality is an outcome of variable permutation and combination.God has created diversity  and assumed varying functions to every living being. Will life remains interesting, when there is only uniformity?Everyone is unique in playing a role.

Just a food for thought.Any different views?

Social living

I feel good to write to my iland friends after a very long gap.Fortunately, I experienced the greatness of social gatherings through a wedding function in my family. It gave me another perspective of life.I wish to share this with all of you.

It's really great to be happy with our personal accomplishments. All of us have two facets-personal and public.Once we succeed in personal life, its time to focus on our social interactions.More we reach, greater is our influence zone.Greater our influence zone, chances are higher to address our social concerns.Concerns on issues without an ability to act is meaningless.

Personally, I had undergone most happiest and sad moments in solitude. When I opened myself to the outside world, I feel everything at ease. When we share our emotions, it takes little time to diffuse and to stabilize. It sways away our ego.It gives us an opportunity to understand people around us.It allows us to value people as we value ourselves.

In addition to materialistic wealth, people with us are invaluable assets. They make us feel good forever. Why shouldn't we think of expanding this wealth?

life will be blisssful,when.....

we are happy with the self.Very often we are puzzled to deal with Identity factor. No doubt, Identity empowers us with a sense of security, recognition, joy, belongingness, attitude, altitude and much more.

people identify themselves in different ways (as a professional/roles they play /group or territory they belong,etc....)

An Elder brother shows his strength to make his younger one yield. Can't he influence without his identity as an elder brother?

However, what happens to their identity whey they leave their influential zone at once? One can be a Big B in his/her neighbourhood. He cannot enjoy the same recognition, once he goes out.Identity is the mask we wear for our convenience. It has to be lifted to test our humaneness/self.

What ultimately works universally is the true and humane love.

Dissolving our identity keeps us away from getting egoistic.when Identity is seen only as a tool to uphold our self esteem, then life really becomes blissful.
